Recent reports about the OnePlus 12 point to more RAM, Hasselblad cameras, and improved performance. Every detail
The continuous stream of leaks surrounding the OnePlus 12 is ongoing, fueling the excitement for its official unveiling. The phone is expected to make its debut in China in the coming months, followed by a global launch early next year. Reports suggest that the OnePlus 12 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and camera enhancements in partnership with Hasselblad.
According to the latest leak by the Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, there are rumors that the phone might offer a maximum of 24GB of RAM, a significant upgrade that could greatly improve multitasking capabilities.
Media reports indicate that the smartphone will likely retain its triple-camera setup on the back. This camera arrangement is expected to consist of a 50-megapixel primary wide-angle camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 64-megapixel camera equipped with a periscope lens.
A report from India Today points out that OnePlus might introduce a new Sony IMX9xx sensor for the primary camera. The periscope lens is anticipated to provide 3x optical zoom, and the collaboration with Hasselblad is expected to continue to fine-tune the rear camera system.
Furthermore, there are anticipations of a notably larger 5,400mAh battery, accompanied by 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities. Other notable features include an optical under-display fingerprint sensor and the integration of a new “super-sized” x-axis motor to enhance haptic feedback, as mentioned in the report.
In terms of design, leaked images from Smartprix in collaboration with OnLeaks depict a curved display with gently rounded corners, which aligns with OnePlus’s distinct visual style. The company is expected to uphold its tradition of incorporating an alert slider, facilitating convenient management of audio modes for quick switches between loud and silent settings.
The purported design render subtly hints at the absence of a notch or cutout on the front panel for accommodating the selfie camera. The render offers a glimpse of the OnePlus 12 model, presented in an elegant black color variant.
