Prime Minister Modi is set to host a massive rally in Bhopal, where an estimated one million people are expected to participate in the ‘Karyakarta Mahakumbh’. Here’s what we know so far.
As the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections gain momentum, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to address a massive gathering on September 25, marking the culmination of the BJP’s ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatras’.
Gathering of 1 Million People at Jamboree Maidan Insiders from the party have disclosed that the BJP aims to congregate a crowd of one million individuals at the Jamboree Maidan in Bhopal. This grand event, known as the ‘Karyakarta Mahakumbh’, coincides with the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyaya, one of the co-founders of the Jana Sangh. It is perceived as a bold display of the BJP’s strength, with a determination to sway the electoral tide in their favor, according to PTI reports.
Prime Minister Modi is expected to step onto the Maidan at approximately 11 AM and depart by 1 PM. This information was shared by VD Sharma, the leader of the Madhya Pradesh BJP. The city is adorned with prominent portraits of Modi and banners featuring other senior BJP leaders, heightening the anticipation leading up to the event.
The BJP’s ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatras’, inaugurated earlier this month by party president JP Nadda, covered a significant number of 223 out of 230 assembly constituencies. This impressive outreach aims to showcase the development and welfare initiatives spearheaded by the current Madhya Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Congress’s Counter Campaign In response to the BJP’s initiatives, the Congress party has launched its ‘Jan Akrosh Yatra’, focusing on what they assert are the failures of the BJP-led government. In the previous 2018 assembly elections, the Congress narrowly assumed power, but their coalition government collapsed within 15 months.
Amidst preparations for the event, Union Ministers Bhupendra Yadav and Narendra Tomar, alongside state party leaders, were seen inspecting the venue. The BJP is sparing no effort, further intensifying the campaign with the slogan “Abki bar 150 par,” signaling their aspiration to secure more than 150 seats in the upcoming elections.
