Ownership of Maximum Stake in Reliance: A Family Member Surpasses Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani, Akash, and Anant

Mukesh Ambani is the predominant shareholder in Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), leading the company as the richest individual in India and one of the top 10 wealthiest globally, according to Forbes. As of June 30, Mukesh Ambani and his private entities controlled 47.29% of RIL’s stake, which later increased to 48.87% by September 2019.

Reportedly, Mukesh Ambani holds 75 lakh shares individually, representing 0.12% of RIL’s shares, while his spouse, Nita Ambani, also possesses a 0.12% stake in RIL. Their children, Akash, Isha, and Anant, are actively engaged in various RIL businesses and initiatives. Akash and Isha serve as directors of Reliance Jio Infocomm, while Anant holds a directorial position at Reliance Retail Ventures, with each of them holding a 0.12% stake in RIL.

However, the Ambani family member with the highest RIL shareholding is Mukesh Ambani’s mother, Kokilaben Ambani, who holds a 0.24% stake in RIL, equivalent to 1.57 crore shares, according to the latest shareholding data, making her the largest individual shareholder in the company.

In other news, Anant Ambani and Radhika Mrechant recently celebrated their pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, with their wedding scheduled for July. The event was attended by prominent figures including Bill Gates, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Rihanna, Ivanka Trump, former Prime Minister of Sweden Carl Bildt, former Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper, President of Google Donald Harrison, former President of Bolivia Jorge Quiroga, former Prime Minister of Australia Kevin Rudd, and Chairperson of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab.
