“No Entry as MP in Parliament,” No Relief for Mahua Moitra on Expulsion, Next Hearing in SC on March 11

ANI, New Delhi. TMC leader Mahua Moitra had knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court against losing parliamentary membership in the cash-for-query case.

The Supreme Court heard the case today. The Supreme Court ordered the Secretary-General of the Lok Sabha to respond to this case within two weeks. The next hearing on this matter in the Supreme Court is scheduled for March 11. However, during the hearing, Justice Sanjeev Khanna said that he cannot participate in Lok Sabha proceedings at the moment.

Ethics Committee’s recommendation led to Mahua losing parliamentary membership Last month, on December 11, the TMC leader filed a petition in the Supreme Court. It is worth noting that Mahua’s parliamentary membership was revoked following the recommendation of the Ethics Committee in the cash-for-query case.

Understand the whole case The TMC leader was accused of taking a bribe for questioning by targeting Adani Group and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the cash-for-query case. In this matter, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had complained against Moitra to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla through advocate Jay Anant Dehadrai.

Mahua Moitra was accused of providing her ID and password to the people of the Hiranandani Group to log in to the parliamentary website to post questions. Mahua Moitra admitted to this, saying that she had given her Lok Sabha login ID to Hiranandani’s people but had not taken any gifts from them.

Mahua targeted the BJP outside Parliament After losing her parliamentary seat, Mahua targeted the BJP on December 8 outside the Parliament building, saying, “I am 49 years old, and for the next 30 years, I will fight with you inside and outside the Parliament. We will see your (BJP) end; this is the beginning of your end; we are coming back.”
